Creating A Story To Share of Love, Growth, and Connection

I am so fortunate to be able to show and create artwork of the excitement of growing families. This mom and dad invited me along their journey of welcoming their daughter to their family. Our first session was their pregnancy announcement at Truist Park! Mom and dad are season ticket holders and big fans of the Atlanta Braves, so of course we visited Truist Park for their announcement!

After our announcement session at Truist Park, we met again for their maternity session at Driftwood Beach, Jekyll Island, GA. My family and I stayed a few days at an Airbnb on Saint Simons Island, explored, played at the beach, ate crab legs, and enjoyed visiting some historic landmarks. We hiked up the many stairs of the lighthouse, and found out my 12 year old has a bit of a fear of heights. Having family experiences surrounding my time creating a beautiful maternity session on Driftwood is everything! I cannot wait to see where my art takes my family in the future.

I plan to make a trip here again with my family yearly. Drifwood Beach was such an amazing place to visit. Truly a masterpiece. If you are ever able to visit you should. I was in awe of the beautiful petrified wood and rocky shores. Their daughter, Finley, was born a couple months later. She had a slightly hard time transitioning, so I visited them in the NICU, then came to their home the following week to meet Fin's puppy brothers.

I will be in Panama City Beach early August 2021, and St. Louis, MO in September.

I get the pleasure of shadowing families through their lives and create beautiful wall art and fine art albums to keep for generations. Displaying images on your walls of connection and love is a reminder of close family and creates a confidence within the walls of your home and the love within. I walk out of my bedroom every morning to see a 20x30 image of my husband an I hugging. It is a reminder of our friendship and closeness to each other even when we may be slightly annoyed with one of us. We eat dinner surrounded by large wall art of our family embracing each other over the years. It is a reminder us that we, no matter what, will always love and be a supporter and place of comfort. No matter the struggle or hardship, this is family.

Print your pictures. There is no comparison and attention to detail like that of a professional.

Fun Family Session | Peachtree City

Family Photos Can Be FUN!!! at Drake Field, Peachtree City

It's important for a session to bring out goofy personalities and real connection. I encourage my clients to forget about having hair perfectly placed, forget about those staged and poised portraits, and simply have fun! The genuine smiles shine through, and the kids (and dads) don't leave the session feeling drained and irritated.

Little Archie came out booty first when Dr. Tia Guster began to pull him out. So glad his cute little face was my direction! Momma did an awesome job. Kayla is a Birth Champion! Newnan, GA

I was so blessed to be able to witness the entrance of Kayla and Jake's third child.

Kayla arrived at the hospital already at 9 cm dilated. I am so lucky that I was already at the hospital photographing another baby, and I jumped in the room as Dr. Anderson broke her water and prepared for Braelynn's arrival.

Because of Covid-19, I had missed being there for these moments. Being able to witness first breaths is my true calling. My heart missed this.

Kayla, you are amazing. Braelynn's birth was perfect and what every mother hopes for. You are a warrior!

This session recharged my creativity. Being third wheel on a date night isn't so bad when you get to hang with cool people and document their love.

We started out at a coffee and book shop that they frequent.

After coffee, we headed to dinner at The Kimball House.

We ended the evening at The Atlanta Sky View. My favorite!

This wedding was nothing but gorgeous. The vintage style throughout the venue, Vinewood Stables, and all of the style choices for their ceremony and reception were perfectly cohesive.

Vinewood has such great bridal party suites. www.byoungbeautystudio.com created a perfectly classic look for Kara and her family.

The meal and cake was dairy and gluten free, so I was able to pig out during dinner! I was so excited to be able to eat everything served at an event!

Alyse and Nathan Say "I DO" at Dandelion Market

Alyse and Nathan moved to DC for a new job opportunity. Before they moved, they threw a "going away" party a few days before Christmas. In the middle of the party, she made a secret exit to the downstairs bathroom of the cute pub for a quick wardrobe change. I met her here, grabbed a few shots of her getting ready, then ran upstairs to attempt to blend in with party-goers.

Nathan and Alyse's best friend officiated, and the little dark pub was lit up by their grins of excitement!

In-Home Maternity Session

While I love photographing faces and places, there is something to being a fly-on-the-wall to someone's life at home. Caylynn and Joe welcomed my super pregnant self into their home only a few days before I had my son, Aloy. I followed them while they sipped coffee on the couch, snuggled in bed, and played with their adorable animals. I've also photographed their sweet boy, Atticus, since this session, but I will post it another day.

This little ham was wide awake for most of our session.

Love incorporating my prism for a little artsy touch.

After getting a few of the three of them, we invited her big sister to join us. She was super excited to be included!

She finally gave in to her nap and the sound of the summer storms outside.

Willa is 1 | Lifestyle Studio Session

Tyrone, GA Natural Light Studio

Sweet little Willa turned 1, and her family joined us in the studio to celebrate and capture this milestone. We played with toys and wondered around a bit before making a mess. I learned that Miss Willa does not like to wear shoes and gets very mad when you take away the sugar.

See above.. Willa was not having it with the shoes!

We were ready for the cake smash, and she was fierce!

After she was full of sugar, she perked up a bit for a few family members to hop in.

I absolutely love this image. Before the session, I told mom to bring something sentimental and important to Willa for the session. She brought a cut off sleeve from her robe that Willa snuggles with to sleep every nap and at night. Her first born, Willa's big sister, was in the NICU and she had left the other sleeve for her to have mom's scent to calm her when she was away. Such a sweet token to bond the two sisters together.
